"VÅGÅ – THE MECCA OF HANGGLIDING AND PARAGLIDING IN SCANDINAVIA?"

Our National Centre for Hang and Paragliding in Vågå (Vaagaa) celebrated 10 year i 2002. We had more visitor than ever before. In 2005 we offer a great program for all HG and PG pilots and we hope to see YOU there!

 We call Vågå "The hang gliding and paragliding Centre of Scandinavia". In other words, this is a real great place to fly hang and paragliders!!

The Norwegian national centre.
There has been flying going on in Vågå since the 70's but the centre with building and the present landing place was ready to host the EC in hanggliding back in 1992.

Today we can offer a great hang and paragliding centre with:

bulletActivities like meetings, competitions, seminars, training courses, bbq's etc going on for most of the season.
bulletWe offer transport to start and pick-up service after a long XC flight!
bulletAccomondations for a total of up to 30 persons at a time inside.
bulletOutside camping facility.
bulletWeather-service. New weather reports are taken from Internet every day.
bulletTandem flights with paraglider or hangglider are arranged, call 0047 61 23 21 00
bulletPC ready to use for our guests.

bulletShower/sauna.
bulletLiving room with magazines, TV/video etc. .

Sometimes even in Vågå the weather can be bad and you can not fly. There are a lot of other activities you can attend like rafting, kayaking, hiking, climbing, relaxing, fishing, etc. More info at the centre or at the tourist office (see below):
